The Problem
Many high school students are unaware of what public health is, or the careers available within the field. Limited exposure to public health professionals and topics in a formal setting, such as schools, contributes to this information gap.
The Solution
PHACE-IT is an organization designed to reach Maryland public high school students for the sole purpose of expanding their knowledge about public health issues and careers. PHACE-IT aims to decrease this professional and educational gap, as the organization offers another avenue to promote quality career preparation and lifelong learning.
